A single Cryo Block measures 8" x 8" x 1"(20.5cm x 20.5cm x 2.4cm), weighs around 29oz (830g) and contains around 22 fl oz (650ml) of active ingredients.
When we talk about coolers and ice cubes, it’s usually a question of how long until they melt — but with our new Cryo Blocks, your Oyster can actually freeze water, meaning you can now store anything from ice cream, food, medicine etc at below freezing point for hours.
Just to be clear, we're not recommending using the Oyster to make ice cubes, we're simply showcasing how incredibly cold this cooler gets when using these new blocks. How you choose to use them is up to you!

"The Cryo Blocks are awesome. First time I used them was a pretty hot day, probably in the high 90's pushing double digits with the heat index. After coming out of the grocery store I opened the oyster cooler with cryo-blocks and the frost was clearly visible billowing out in the open air. Now maybe it did that due to atmospheric conditions but bottom line is the cooler was really, really cold. Made an instant believer out of me."
"It works wow wow wow …. The cooler maintains the cold and the ice packs rule. How can ice packs go lower than freezing !!? I tested with gauges etc it’s real !!! They must have alien technology already. Amazing is all I can say."
"It's always interesting when a new product comes out that rethinks the way products have been made for decades. This is one of those products I'm constantly impressed with: how much I can fit in it while keeping it cold all day and beyond."
"I honestly don't see an improvement vs the ice packs that came with my cooler. The original ice packs actually seem to stay cold longer"
"I was on the fence since day one when Oyster released its first cooler, but when the Oyster Pro landed, I was well intrigued. And then laying eyes on the Cryo blocks, well, being an avid gelato and ice cream afficionado, I thought I had to give these a try. Lo and behold, not only do they work as promised, they keep everything frozen in this Amazon heat we have here in the Big Easy and hold temps for what seems like an eternity!!! GREAT WORK, Oyster!!! The only better invention Oyster could produce would be an even larger Oyster. Maybe call it an Oyster Bed? Ha! Thanks for a PHENOMENAL set of products!!!"
"This is not a Yeti. It is not going to fall of the tailgate and be ok. Lets say that first of all. But…. if you want the best cooler on the planet for keeping things cold or frozen(yes, I said frozen) thenn thius is your cooler. I tested it with just the ice packs. I did the ones for cold and and the ones for frozen and it out performed my expectations. With the cols packs it was 38 degrees and with the freeze packs it was 19 degrees. Lid is a different and not used like a normal cooler lid. It can oipen on both sides which means it can fall off if you open it past 90 degrees. But you can still open it from both sides which is awesome. FYI Overall it really works and you dont have to use ice if you have the ice packs so it makes it so much bigger and easier to carry all kind of stuff."
"These are great! Keep things cold for days."
"We love the Oyster and cold packs so much. It’s always a challenge to beat the heat here in Texas, and now we are well-equipped for shopping, vacationing and keeping cooling pads and water well-chilled for our dog on our daily runs. We especially like the sensible, recyclable materials you’ve used, unlike the tons of plastic used by one of your competitors here in Austin. The Oyster is colder, leaner, lighter and sustainably constructed. Thanks for a great product!"
"Light for the amount of volume. Keeps things much cooler than my Yeti and is less bulky. Hope Oyster makes additional sizes at some point."
"Perfect. ! Keep my meats freeze for a long long time"
