This means you can now store anything from ice cream, food, and medicine at below freezing point for hours. For a portable, non-electric cooler, that’s not just cold—it’s unprecedented. HOW TO FREEZE CRYO BLOCKS
- Place the Cryo Blocks in a freezer that maintains a temperature of -18°C (0°F)* or colder.
- Allow them to freeze completely. You’ll know they are ready to use when the blocks turn solid white.

When we talk about coolers and ice cubes, it’s usually a question of how long until they melt — but with our new Cryo Blocks, your Oyster can actually freeze water, meaning you can now store anything from ice cream, food, medicine etc at below freezing point for hours.
Just to be clear, we're not recommending using the Oyster to make ice cubes, we're simply showcasing how incredibly cold this cooler gets when using these new blocks. How you choose to use them is up to you!
